Tyler joined Kovacs & Norell in July of 2023. He practices in the area of insurance litigation. Prior to joining Kovacs & Norell, Tyler articled in his hometown of Lethbridge, Alberta.

Tyler received his Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Alberta Faculty Of Law in Edmonton, Alberta. During his time at the University of Alberta, Tyler was able to explore his interest of Indigenous and Aboriginal Law, which led to him joining the law school’s staff as an Indigenous Success Developer after graduation. He is very proud to have been able to support Indigenous law students by making their transition into law school more approachable.

Prior to attending law school, Tyler completed a degree in biological sciences from the University of Lethbridge. In the summers between semesters, Tyler worked as a laboratory assistant in the areas of plant physiology and global warming research.

Outside of law, Tyler enjoys relaxing by the ocean, trying to learn new languages, and is an avid cook who likes to try out new recipes from around the world.
